Zach is Lumina MD’s Lead Nurse, bringing a unique combination of medical aesthetics and clinical nursing experience to his practice. His career in aesthetics began in 2018 as a medical aesthetician, giving him an early foundation in skin health, skincare and aesthetic treatments before continuing his education in nursing. His nursing experience includes frontline work in addictions and harm reduction, where he developed a strong foundation in patient-centred care, communication and creating a safe, non-judgmental clinical environment. Today, Zach combines his backgrounds in aesthetics and nursing with a skin-first, results-driven approach to care. His practice includes advanced skin treatments, regenerative therapies and injectable treatments, with an emphasis on thoughtful treatment planning and natural-looking results. As Lead Nurse, Zach is also an integral part of Lumina MD’s clinical team, helping to deliver the high standard of care and welcoming experience at the heart of the clinic.

Dr. Presslauer received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Victoria and subsequently went on to complete her Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery in Limerick, Ireland. She then completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Manitoba. Having been born and raised in Nanaimo, she and her husband eventually returned home with their young son in tow. In Nanaimo Dr Presslauer has split her time between the busy Family Practice Clinic and the Oceanside Urgent Care. Through her experiences in acute and primary care she has gained valuable procedural skills and a close eye to detail. With a caring and gentle approach in conjunction with a keen understanding of anatomy, she aims to help patients with their aesthetic goals in an individualized, holistic manner. When not practising medicine Dr Presslauer enjoys spending time with her young family, artistic pursuits painting and gardening, or hitting the roads and trails of Nanaimo for a run with her dogs.

Nadira’s journey in healthcare spans over six years, beginning in Ontario where she built a strong clinical foundation across critical care, public health, and complex community nursing. After discovering her passion for medical aesthetics, she completed extensive advanced training in neuromodulators, dermal fillers, PRP, microneedling, and energy-based devices, eventually launching her own aesthetic brand called HoneyGlo Aesthetics. Her experience running a clinic, developing client relationships, and teaching new injectors through CAMA which enriched her deep understanding of anatomy, safety, and patient education.

Recently relocating from Toronto to Vancouver Island, Nadira brings her holistic, patient-centered approach to the LuminaMD team. She is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering experience for clients of all backgrounds, and believes that aesthetic medicine is about more than beauty.
